big mouth, vulgar language and other junk

Perfect example of a "radio rambo"... I was about 3 miles away from the shipper when I passed a truck going the opposite direction on a two lane hwy that was carrying the product I was going to pick up (generators). Keep in mind that normally this particular shipper is extremely busy and parking is very very limited. So, often times, one will have to "wait in line" behind the WalMart or Target, which is just across the street.
Well as I passed him I grabbed the mic and asked if he had it on...he came back. So I asked a very simple question, "hey bud, did you notice if there were any parking spaces when you left the yard?" His response; "Go f%&k yourself @$$hole...I'm not even going to answer a question that F%&king dumb." Sorry but I'm not one to just let things like that slid, ESPECIALLY if I know the person...and in this case I did! My response; "Jesus man...do you think you could be a bigger dick about things?" Him; "Don't make me turn this truck around...you'll need a nurse to drive that truck for you when I'm done with you". Of course he tossed some choice four letter words in there. My response; "No bud, you don't have to go through the trouble of turning around, I'll just catch up with you at the yard latter this week." And wouldn't you know it, 2 days later, as I pull into the same shippers yard to grab another load...there he sits...Radio Rambo himself. I parked my truck, walked up to his cab and knocked on the door. I'm sure he saw me coming... When he rolled down the window I asked him, "hey bud, do you still think I'm going to need that nurse to drive my truck". He didn't know what to say! The look of shock on his face was priceless! LOL. Classic! Needless to say, his response was typical..."I don't have time for BS today." Of course not...his mouth (and radio) was far bigger then his fist. Yet another radio rambo reduced to a true coward when it comes down to it.
I don't usually engage with those idiots, but in this case the circumstances were a bit different considering I would see this guy again. I don't get it at all...why run your mouth if you can't back it up???? A few things my dad told me years ago that never left me..."there is always someone out there that is bigger and badder then you are," "you never know what the man your up against is capable of", and "keep your mouth shut if you don't plan on backing it up." Why don't the little rambos understand that? One day that other driver is going to pull over, or get out of his truck at the ts, or pull into the rest area to which he was so boldly invited. Just saying....

I was in the Pilot in Punta Gorda one day a guy in a day cab pulled in and started backing in in between me and a drop deck. Well the drop deck driver didn't like how close he was getting to his truck and started ranting and raving cursing at the day cab driver. The day cab driver wasn't that close to the guys truck but this guy went on and on cursing and ranting. He went to his trailer and got a pipe off it and went up trying to snatch the day cab door open. Man I am glad that wasn't me cause it would have ended completely different. But one of the Pilot employees seen it and call the cops. But the drop deck driver had had to many to drink police calmed him down well they gave him a choice calm down or go to jail

The anonymity of the "CB" just like the internet allows anyone to be someone their not.

 

It has been my general observation that the vehemence of the radio rambo's diatribe is directly disproportional to the size of his "member" as it were.
Thus my reluctance to turn on my cb at all unless necessary for safety or shippers/receivers. I don't talk to "little" people.
(actually, my cb broke about 2 months ago and I haven't missed it at all, lol)
