It is easier for them to teach someone who has never driven with a manual then someone who has because you pick up certain habits from muscle memory. You will get the basics inorder to pass your test and then your shifting will get fine tunned by your trainer.

Also, do you need money to pay for your CDL permit or do they cover that? -
I know ima pack food for two weeks that's probably the cheapest way on food cost. Ill have the 100 for registration too. I gotta get glasses wich I will Thursday. I gotta switch my license over to Arizona first from MD. Hopefully I can be training somewhere in three weeks.

Don't take what I said as a fact. I'm also a student-to-be and looking for answers from people who have been there.

Yes, there is the registration, and yes you must pay for your permit and tests. You get $100 after you are on a truck and under a load with your trainer, and then the training pay kicks in after that. The figure I gave was for the two of us. A solo should get away with less

By the way, if you go to the 8/15 call, ill see you there. -
Ok thanks I got the food situation under control cause I currently get food stamps from the government and this is the last month I should be getting those. I gotta get glasses first so hopefully I can go Thursday and have them by Wednesday then hopefully I can be there on the 15.

I know you were one and I asked back in 09 for you but they couldn't find J Ranch.
I know I said I'd never train but took the green bait so will give it my best shot.
