Paid miles go from 99 (Last drop) to 01 (next pickup) no matter where home location fits in between.

You get paid from the last place you delivered to the place you are picking up. UNLESS they send you a routing that takes you home. Not too much chance of that, but if you are a company driver, they are paying for the fuel, so it is still a winner for you.

I was the worst gear grinder in the class and I made it through. relax and it comes pretty easily. You then spend a month on the road with a trainer and get a lot more experience with them. You take a short driving test when you finish with the trainer. It's actually better to NOT have ever driven a manual transmission prior to start learning. It confuses you too much. I have driven a stick for a long time and it hindered my learning truck shifting because it's totally different.

You need to have the money for the CDL. You start getting paid after you start with the trainer at $150.00 per week. the recruiter can tell you what the registration fees and such are.

Nope, but your pee better be clean. If you take prescription drugs for anything, bring the prescriptions with you and list them on the forms you fill out.
