2 weeks ago, i hauled a humv....it was'nt the humv that cost, It was the big green box bolted to the back...worht 2.5 mill, company had to put extra liablity ons on it. Had to give them a route...exsact. an contact number for me....came in handy when i was detained at the missisipi scale on 20....20 minits phone was ringing....why are you stopped..... i let dot exsplain...5 minits later....dot ..have a nice day an a safe trip....some military load have there privalages

Here's the kinda funny part about hauling that load I have in the pic.

They would not let my wife come in with me to help chain down the pieces.
Two reasons.
First not a CDL driver. and now number 2. She is not a U.S. citizen, Has her legal green card..

But she was allowed to travel with me when hauling the load.
Then the place I delivered she was not allowed in either.
We knew that ahead of time and I put her in the hotel.

I have hauled other things in the past that were somewhat secret.
Hauled landing gear for air force one, during the senior Bush term. Russian tanks and things.
Some I've been followed by different crews. Some not that I know of.
Had to run team so that when I got out of the trk. the other person sat on guard duty. Not a driver, just babysat the load when I needed to leave the trk..

 

I'll describe what i saw in 08 while driving my Jeep west on I-40 around amarillo.
I was on vacation and driveg west to colorado. I noticed some trucks, some Very nice Peterbuilts that had NO dot number, NO fuel stickers,...Nothing then I see the bulletproof side windows and winshields. then I see the D.O.E. lic plate on the front.(As a former police officer had heard about such i had never seen one till then.)
There if i remember right about 4 of these trucks. all were moving @ 62 MPH.
But the weidest site was the Vans that were following and leading them.
I did take pics and still have them NO i will NOT post them.
the vans alll had the ultra thicck glass, 4WD odd looking tires (run flats perhaps?) a dozen anntennas and some strange box attached to the back of the rear divers side rear door. It looked to just the right size for say a ground to air shoulder fired missle. oddly the people in the vans were looking at me looking at them. I just smiled . I bet they had more guns in those vans than a georgia gun store.
I was really surprised that they didn't try to make these truck blend in a little more. and the trailers stood out as much as anything else. they were short like 38 ft maybe, and the outside was polished stainless. and they had round amber lights about 2/3rds the ways up on the back doors.
they were special trucks that is for sure.

 

Well now I can say I was not BS ing anyone. I guess it's just not seen as much as I thought and I would think it is not talked about just like the things I know from being in the military and the missions and groups we did such with that I can't talk much about.

 

you would think a UFO would come with tarping pay...
