95% of how things will turn out for you will depend on you - your attitude, your work ethic, and your ability to listen and learn. If you handle yourself well, things will turn out well, regardless of the company you start out with. And there will also be tough times and bumps in the road, regardless of the company.

Remember, this is the internet. Anyone can say/post anything they want with no qualification.
When reading the posts, if you find someone posting negatives, look at the past posts made by them to see if they are giving facts or opinions.
If a person never worked for the company being discussed, how in the world can they give credible answers to a request for information.
Take all information with a grain of salt.
Only you can decide what to believe.

Good luck with your new career choice.

What I have found interesting with not only this thread, but others as well is how many people posting that have a choice...not locked in...and decide to stay.
If you follow the different Stevens threads you will find a core group of us that are happy here and CHOOSE to stay.
Nearly all of the negative posts about this company are from people that have never worked for Stevens. They repeat gossip, innuendo and old stories they heard, but have no first hand experience.
It would be different if we were locked into Stevens via contract, but we are all free to go where we want and I dare to say almost everyone of us could have multiple job offers elsewhere if we were to look.
    But we choose to stay.
    What does that tell you?

Try to surround yourself with Positive people. If you can not find any, stay to yourself. Most of what you experience will depend on your attitude and how you look at it. Your goal is to learn how to drive a truck and get into this business. Do not let anything keep you from it. Look at everything as an adventure and when things turn sour and to lemons....make lemonaide!
You can do this and you need to do this for yourself and your family if you have one.
I drive for Maverick and it is a great company...but there are still those that ##### and complain about everything and anything. I do not have the time to allow them into my life or mind to distort what I am experiencing for myself...either can you.
Get the most out of your time with your trainer. Make him train you. Try all of the hard things while you are with him...it is much harder when you are by yourself!

    Best of luck to you!
I had 0 experience when I started 17 months ago. Now I love it!

    God Bless!:biggrin_25525:

Another one here about to make the jump to stevens, this has been a dream of mine for you so many years now. Right now I am a Freight Broker, with truckers in my family. So i already know what the life style is about and how may days are going to be in between the lines. What I want to know is how is the training class itself? easy, hard? I've always been a fast learner and with picking things up real fast, but when it comes to testing I crash all the time, it's not that I dont know the topic or learned anything I'm just not a good tester... any advice??????

Training is similar to the PADI approach. You will learn, it may take time, but you will learn. Usually (I stress that word) the trainers are patient, but they demand your effort.
Easy and Hard are so different to different people, but if you're average, you shouldn't have problems.
