It's no big deal, I knew they were closed so I didn't change my plans at all, it's just another example of how worthless the weekend dispatchers are!
I went back and looked at my call log in my phone, I called dispatch 38 times in an hour and ten minutes before I finally just gave up trying!
ARE YOU READING THIS DARREN?
TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE AND INEXCUSABLE!

Sometimes I wonder what is going on with them myself. Hubby was home on July 28th, put in for home time like he was told to do right after he accepted his first load on July 31st . He put in for Aug. 26th, so here it is Aug. 29th and he was told last week if you take this one load we will get you home ok so now after 4 loads like that he is on his way to Little Rock dispatched call him last night and said please take this load to Texas and then I will TRY and get you home he refused that load and told the dispatch why and he said Gee I thought we already sent you home. This is a case of the right hand doesnt know what the left hand is doing. How do some people get home every few weeks and others don't. That is crazy Someone please tell me the answer to that. Other than this problem he loves what he is doing and think JBS is a great company but to have a great company you got to have great people working.I think dispatch needs an tuneup

Hey, does anyone know if what I was told by another driver is true about hometime? He told me that when you are on your hometime you give dispatch your number and they will call you so you don't have to wait in your truck for a ppl as you could be waiting there for hours instead of in the comfort of your own home. I have also sent a few messages since working for them and have only received 2 replies out of 10 messages. 1 from safety correcting my HOS and 1 stating they received my TRANSFLO. Is this normal NOT to get any response after sending in a free form? Just wondering....thanks
Also, want to appoligize if my comments came across harsh to Doc. Not my intentions just Giant gave me this great oppertunity and I was still stressed after orientation LOL!!! -
True about them calling you. I always wait at home for a ppl but be ready to go after your PTA 'cause sometimes you don't have much time to spare.

Sometime I go check to see if I had been given a load and they have sent 2 or 3 diff pp. They will call when they change to make sure you seen it. Or if you haven't accepted it. They will ask you to accept it so it wouldn't be on there board or whatever that mean. Always double check bro, because they get so busy and forget to call you.Last edited: Aug 29, 2011

When they try that he HAS TO REFUSE the preplan! He has every right to refuse a load if it is taking him away from his scheduled hometime.Florida Girl Thanks this. -
I agree, If you have home time set, then you have every right to refuse preplan. 3 reasons to refuse, tractor broke down, home time, out of hours to make pickup or delivery. back about 2 months i was getting a time off request verification with every preplan i got, then all of a sudden it was gone????? I have also had my home time dates mysteriously disapper.
