I don't know if it is just my bad luck to have a series of problems (last 2 deliveries took over 7 hours NO PAY) or this will be something to expect. Last week I brought home a bit over $200 this week is not looking much better. I will give it 30 more days, if my miles don't get much better I will clean out my truck. I also am not happy with my fleet manager. It looks like I am just a bother to him. I hope I am wrong about WSE, if I am right I will be gone very soon.
Starting to regret

I will have about 2400 miles for the week. I had a Joplin Mo to New Caney Texas run that would have made me close to 3000 miles on Sunday afternoon, but I had to call Extended and get off the load. My FM told me Friday to return to Elm Springs after I delivered so I could get truck repaired. It appears my Truck is repaired now. I think I am headed to Joplin after I get back to terminal (in Hotel as I type this). I had a chance to meet FM (Justin Johns) yesterday he seems like a stand up guy so I think my original opinion of him was in error. I (along with several other drivers) got chewed over excessive idle but nobody got anything serious did to them over it. It turns out both of the shocks on my tractor were bad (one was totally gone) it is no wonder my lower back is sore. I delivered at a Walmart DC Sunday afternoon, I had about 30 minutes left on my 14 when they notified me I was empty. I had to pay $10 to park near the DC, but I did get in. I also found out I might qualify for a new International 9400 with an APU soon. Not really expecting to get a new Truck, but it would be nice to do so. Over all I think Willis Shaw is a fair company, but time will tell. I just don't want too many weeks like I just finished.

Exray, if you don't have an APU do they expect you to leave truck off when its hot or cold out so you don't burn too much fuel??? I guess they don't run heater/ac at home to save on electric bills then either...guess truck drivers aren't supposed to be comfortable!
mtnMoma Thanks this. -
Feast and famine is a popular pay program in Trucking. I sure hope it gets better for you.
