En-route to the small hospital she was at they called me to notify me that they had lifelined her to Indy at methodist. She had coded for 50 minutes. I stayed with her as long as I could. She had never came out of a vegetated state. We had to do another emergency surgery on her. Nothing changed with her. They had told me to pull her feeding tube a week before. I had them take her off life support a week after that thinking she would go quicker than the feeding tube. She made it 2 more days and I had them remove her feeding tube on her birthday.
I am just waiting on the phone call now. I slept in a chair for 15 days and finally realized that physically, financially, & emotionally that I needed to come home. My wife and I had not packed for that far or long of a trip and we had left our daughter at home and she was very close to my sister. It was time to let go and take care of things at home. It has been a very emotional time for me and I am still working through everything. I still have my local driving job and my daughter also told me maverick called our home number asking me to come back, so I still have work if I was to lose my local gig. As far as buying the business I am too deep in the hole after everything has happened to try to chance a new venture of buying the shop.[/

I'm very sorry to hear what you are going through. I can't imagine having to make those decisions. Family is everything. I'll definitely be praying for you and your family. God will see you through this.Click to expand...Click to expand...notarps4me Thanks this. -

Made it home. Two weeks seems like forever!
I only have this to report.....I am sick and tired of having to pick up a trailer that the driver before me was too LAZY and INCONSIDERATE to take the 30 seconds to send in a macro to have it fixed.
My only hope is that they start getting caught and accumulate enough points that they will either start doing the right thing, or get out of driving!
Other than that, it was a good two weeks!larry5853 Thanks this. -
Just spoke with my Brother In Law. I am going to stop at Whitsett and visit them tomorrow evening. Will head to Sanford in the morning.

Mama Kay checked on me getting a new truck and it will be the end of the year or the spring. Every terminal I go to, except for the IC drivers, I have been the only 07 in there. I do not mind as I have a bunk heater and paper logs!

They are going by the number of the truck which is representative of how old it is. They just got finished with the majority of them and I guess they are going to wait to finish off the fleet.Flatbedder 1966 Thanks this. -

Also as to the still being on paperlogs,Im from Missouri you'll have to show me that because I havent seen ANYONE on paper since June which was their target for full e-log conversion. Just like I had a newb tell me a month or two sgo his Cascadia ran 70mph regardless if fuel mileage. A newb might believe that but those of us that been here awhile no better and you just make yourself look bad trying to pass off that kind of bs.
