I will go where ever I want and say what ever I want. I don't take orders from suck ups or wanna be's. I tell it like it is. Don't want the truth hit ignore. Stick your head in the sand. I am sure the problem will go away...:biggrin_25513:

Prime also pays better than most starter companies. Flatbed STARTS at 36cpm. Plus you will be driving good equipment. Once a truck reaches 600,000 miles, they sell it and buy a new truck to replace it. You have to look at the whole package

That is what they told you. A lot of flats start out around 40 cpm with new equipment and you don't have to pay for nothing for the truck. You also get paid in the beginning... not we will loan you money and take it back crap.... You can also get home on weekends not like being on a deployment somewhere.... You make it sound like prime is top pay... heck you start out in the hole with IOU's...:biggrin_2554:

Here is just one starter company..

I'm willing to bet that a CDL is a requirement for that kind of pay. Most of these folks on this thread don't have one.

That's normally the situation at Prime... 3 to 4 years max. You and I started at a time when production wasn't available from their tractor vendor. YOU KNOW THAT.

Company drivers don't pay for a truck.

That's only for students who cannot be hired until they have a CDL. What? They're supposed to live on NOTHING while not an employee??

It is what it is. They're an OVER THE ROAD carrier... not a SIT ON YOUR KEISTER AT HOME carrier.

You're the only one who said that...

    For people without a CDL?

Still trolling for kickbacks from the recruiter, aren't ya?

No kidding? Then why do company flatbed drivers have to pay for all the tarps, chains and junk then?
Hey knucklehead. I been doing this for a long time. I can tell you of several companies that are OTR companies that get home for the weekends. Some are even starter companies. Not all companies are like that jacked up outfit you started with.
Recruiter? Kickbacks? I call companies like they are. The good ones I give praise to. The jacked up ones like yours. Well; they get the jacked up company rating. Now once again lets cover the bases. How many companies have you trucked for and how long? Ooops, forgot. You don't have a dog in the race. You started with prime and all you know is what is in your answer book. Like I have said before. I have a lot of stick time. Tankers, flats, vans. I done this a few times. The OP wanted to know about primes flatbed? Did they ask for a prime yes man? How much flat time do you have with prime? You keep telling me I am holding a grudge. I am just telling what I know from how jacked up they are.

Don't you have something better to do? I think rob lowe is ringing his little bell again. Why don't you go drawl his bath water for him or something?

the previous statement wasnt for you IP, was directed at other (enter explitive for desired anotomical part here) on here who try and what seems like scare off newbs, which will eventually be the base of this industy. AND before you start notarp, i have about 20yrs in the trucking industry, from dry van to oversive and unconventional-shaped loads.

Sounds to me, a non-driver, that what's going on here is a "my opinion is better than your opinion" argument. Bleh. Two people can work for the same companies for the same time and have very different experiences. It does not make either "right" or "wrong." Just different.

I also wonder why people who opine that "this company" is better because of these reasons <insert lots of very nice-looking numbers here> do not name the company. This is, after all, the DAC forum, isn't it? If someone knows the best-paying company, why not let us know which one it is?
