Sorry but 900 a week is not decent, and you have no bennies...I'm a company driver with full union bennies and make 1400 a week after taxes..... and I spend 2 days a week at a home and almost every 10 hour break at home as well....
Do not lease with trans am....please

900 a week is not good money at all leasing a truck. I could do that as a company driver. Are you getting paid on mileage or gross? How many miles are you driving a week? Do you or they pay for fuel? I make a minimum of 2000 a week after its all said and done. Thats the low end so Im a little curios about your situation at this company. If anything just to give you a wakeup as Im probably making avg for an owner op.

This is the scary part....if you don't stay out 53 days and only go home three, you don't make money.
Sorry friend....that is something I would never subject myself to....drvrtech77 Thanks this. -
All of those restarts you take out on the road...at the bare minimum they should get you home for those. What a bunch of idiots, they keep you out because you let them AND you pay their bills. What a scam. -
So trans am trucking lease drivers are all receiving these in the mail
http://www.sirosmithdickson.com/transam-truck-drivers-class-action-lawsuit/
finally justice will be served
also thanks everyone for the advice.
to answer those questions, transam forced me to become a lease driver, i wanted to be a normal driver but they told us there were no trucks available for a month and we would have to live in those prison cells they supplied untill a corporate truck was available. and that was already after the 5 week codriver training
i quite driving for trans am two months after my original post. i posted on here. and changed my career
transam tried suing me after i quit another 7000 but the judge ruled in my favor. how can you work for a company and live in a truck for months at a time to file a negative $3000 for your income on your taxes is terrible.. took me years to get out of the hole transam put me in, lost my suv and my appartment. still rebuilding my credit.
i went back to school, lived off of white rice and bounced to couch to couch.
finished my computer science degree and now im a network engineer for rms and absolutely love it. and make crazy good money.
I threw my cdl away and never looked back.
i dont tell my story cause im full of myself, i tell it to warn future hard working american cdl students to learn from my mistakes
leasing is a scam by far. and now its finally being recognized.
your time is your most valuable asset and you shouldn't give it away for free -

Hang there fish....
We all have to learn from our mistakes
Company drivers are making more $ with less head ackes and about $300 to $500 less than a an o/o does at the end of the day

"Forced you to become a lease driver?" Were you drugged? Or maybe they held your family for ransom? Blindfolded, and told to start signing? Put you on the rack, and tightened the screw?
Am I getting close?superflow, Dryver and drvrtech77 Thank this. -
Big Papaxx Thanks this.
