I'll keep them in mind. I hate bothering people so I try not to ask questions. I bought a book about securing loads so I'll look at it.

Just pose questions in the "experienced truckdrivers" folder.

I'll do that. For right now I got my trainer, but he's talkin like he's goin to take me back to SPRINGMO early. Right now I'm working on figuring oit how to get the bunk heater to work. It was in the 30s last night n I had no heat. But I don't have central heat at home either so.... I'm used to freezing in the winter

Put the controller into "heat," set the temp, and TURN THE FAN OFF... no LEDs lit.

Ah, I'll try that tonight. Not loading until tommorow because trainer has to fix his van. I'll try that so I can have some warmth

BTW, when you start up in the morning, make sure you turn the mode on the TriPack off (no LEDs lit on the mode stack) - if you just hit the ignition, it kills the power to the controller. Any unburnt fuel in the burner will dry out and turn to goo. It smokes like heck after awhile... you'll see it coming out of the exhaust tube at the back of the sleeper.

yeah, give it a good 5 minutes off, at least before you start the truck... like IP said, it needs to finish off the fuel in the burner.

when you shut off the truck ignition (and since you left the heater on) it will immediatly start back up and try to burn off what was left and you will see thick smoke pouring out of the exhaust tube and smells like crap.

the excess fuel at start up can also cause the burner to "race" at high speed to burn off that fuel and then you get shutdowns.

Its ment to start and shutdown at a much slower pace

Your just praising prime like its the best company in the world. Everyones just putting there opinions in about how crappy it is to supply your own stuff if your a company driver. I've never heard of another company like that.
