    I only sated the facts and did mention my fualt. Others do need the truth so they can be prepared for the events that are to come. And some of those events can change over time.

    Pretty cryptic stuff here. One thing for certain, Tom, you were never a W/S employee if you were sent home. Orientation is an extended job interview until you start filling out hire-on paperwork. Sorry it didn't work out but you may be fine with a trainer and just not at W/S going alone. I wouldn't have been hired, in my opinion, if I hadn't been going team.

    Never drove a truck before going to T/D school and orientation in Missoula. The toughest part about the class for me, was feeling like I was in the movie "Groundhog Day". I was in Missoula for 13 days, the place got old quick.

    Tom, you had 10 days to study and learn the matches, there is actually a pattern to them, from what I seen in the previous class and the one I was in, those that didn't study and get in the trucks, barely slid by, but none got sent home. If you are safe, progressing/improving and have a good attitude, they'll help you along.

    (NOTE: Non-Classroom hours are not time to spend BSing with drivers, it's time to study and get in the trucks, there is no hand holding, you either use the tools, or you don't)

    Everyone has their own opinions, but since you decided to name names:biggrin_25513:, I will say IMO, Rick is an excellent trainer, we got along great, he gave me some pointers that really helped my shifting and overall driving. Rick's sense of humor, though it may be hard for insecure people to handle, made class go by that much faster. Keep in mind, I'm the type of person that enjoys constructive criticism, so Rick telling me, "You suck at that, here is how you need to do it" was cool with me.

    I probably wouldn't have even posted here, except you decided to mention someone by name that I developed a friendship with. He and I probably talk about once per week, mainly when I have an issue on the road and need some help, he has never once not answered the phone or returned my text and always lends a hand.

    Good luck in your future endeavors, unfortunately WS and you were obviously not a good fit.

    I am currently a student at Sage in Rocky Mount NC. I have received a pre hire from W/S. If I would come onboard I would be relocating to Powell Wy. and working out of the Billings terminal. What could I expect out of that location. Thanks for any help.

    if powell is right off I-15 you can expect to get by the house alot. We run up and down 15 ALLOT.

    I empathize with how you might feel and Understand that most truckers have a Tough boy Attitude. For me the First impression is what I take on But it was just hard to understand The mean joke on My Boston Red Rox Hat, Maybe I should have worn My Marine Hat. I try not to judge Others for who they are, and let things roll of the ducks back so to speak. And try to find a common ground. Sure every company is always going to be better than the other. But it is what you make of it that determines your success.

    I have admitted my faults, what are yours?
    I know you have some.

    Truck driving Is a constant Learning field Weather changes, trucks get old, and Other cars/ Drivers do crazy things.
