    Why? Too lazy to downshift?

Its not power you're looking for, its torque. But you also get a fuel bill for that "power."

No im NOT too lazy to shift... I just stupidly think that when your load only weighs 6,000 pounds you shouldnt HAVE TO downshift for every hill that comes. Ive gotten better with saving fuel, I know some of the tricks. I actualy LIKE shifting, I just think the truck should be able to pull a small hill w/ the lightest load we carry.

Thanks for the advice. Was that a 1st class ticket or coach, i think coach would be cheaper, or maybe a cheaper airline? As long as the plane don't blowup i will take it as cheap as i can get it.:biggrin_25525:

Well first, what year is it, and what engine is in that Cascadia?

There is something mechanically wrong with that truck. At 6k lbs ANY of our trucks operating properly should just plain storm up a hill. I have a properly operating Cascadia with a DD15, and it is STRONG. Strong enough that I can keep up with just about anyone - except maybe a truck with a strong pre-emissions N14 or a CAT.

If that were my truck, I'd be taking it into a Detroit shop - an ENGINE shop - not a manufacturer's shop, and especially not SPRIMO. PRIPIT is the best shop we have - mostly because of Mike. I'd be looking first at checking the air-to-air for a leak, and setting the overhead to start.

Forget it. Prime is messing with the performance of the engine. Everytime that little cap is missing from my truck's computer port, I've got less control on the power going up a hill.

You know how learning to limit the turbo while climbing a hill or accelerating helps burn less fuel. Seems I have no choice now.

It's my guess that the shop is taking it out of the drivers hands and giving us no choice.

Mash the gas on a flat, even while empty and my get up and go has got up and went elsewhere.
