You have to understand how companies think.
Most trucking companies won't terminate you unless it's a very serious matter.
They simply push you out. No miles, lousy loads, sit a lot.
    They force you to quit.
So if a company terminated you, it must be VERY serious.
But few, if any, would specify why you are terminated or the actions that led to the termination.
So they just won't hire a terminated driver.
    Why borrow trouble?

Eh, you're better off. Nothing like getting a 1200+ mile trip and having to drop it at a rail yard down the street.

I have to disagree with that . I've read posts here by drivers that were terminated for some pretty petty reasons , especially during training . I recall one that was terminated because his trailer brushed the mirror of the truck in the next parking space . It moved it out of adjustment but no damage .

Western flyer and Gary7 Thank this.

I am simply saying what I have seen. What the companies vision is.
I come from both a drivers' perspective and having been an owner of a small trucking company (14 trucks).
I am not saying that people haven't been let go for petty reasons. I am saying that in most cases, companies won't let someone go for minor reasons. They don't want to pay unemployment or deal with a possible lawsuit, so they simply make it difficult for a person to stay.
So if a driver is let go, most potential employers think it was for a major infraction, not something simple.

It will probably turn out to be a blessing, your not missing much by not getting hired by JB...try the smaller companies rather than the larger ones they tend to be a little more understanding and willing to give a second chance versus the mega fleets..

My fiance is at the CRST training in Iowa, Is there any information you can give me on this company. They took him on with a lot of lies like telling us the refresher course the trip there and the course was all paid for now we are finding out that it all has to be paid back. Just a lot of things were not specified up front

If you are lied to at this point, what will happen down the road?
There are other companies out there that are much better.
