Anybody got any hints or suggestions for somebody who's used to a straight 10 but now has to drive a 13 for 1 trip? Can tell it ought to be an interesting trip, for sure!

Depending on how heavy you are and how the truck drives, you should only need to split the last two grears most of the time. You'll get the hang of it panhandle, just remember make sure the splitter is pulled back before you try to downshift to the low side.
The Challenger and Panhandle flash Thank this. -

Man but this 13 was a dream to operate. Don't know why I was so worried about it. Much easier than a straight 10 and more forgiving. Have to admit that "muscle memory" nailed me a few times. The 1/6 just doesn't exist. lol

My husband and I drove team for about a year. It is very true what chompi says about them running team. We ran great for the first month, then after that it was all down hill from there. We stayed on giving them a chance and talking to dispatch and we never could get enough miles. We never turned loads down either. We never had a problem with anyone person their. They just either don't know how to run teams or have to many drivers for the freight they have. We talked to drivers for 3 years before going to work for jct and heard no negatives, but after we started driving for them and then talked with drivers we heard a whole differant story.

Just wanted to tell everyone about how great this company is!,
I have alway's been treated with great respect from this company, gave me help when i needed it, and the opertunity to be successful, I was scheduled for home time on 10/06/11, on that same day my father was diagnosed with lung cancer, and needed a few more day's off than planned on, and unfotunately, My fathers condition is vary advanced, stage 4, and has spread,I need to stay home, talked with dispatch, told them that I was unable to come back, But wanted to leave on good terms, I have a trailer with me, and asked If It would be ok, If I dropped the trailer at the mira loma yard in cal., they said that they would have some one pick up the trailer, so I wouldnt have to spend the time or money for fuel, to get it there, those that say,"jct ripes off there drivers and treat them badly, have no idea of what they are saying!, If you do a good job for this company, they WILL do as much as possible for you, i am very greatfull to have been apart of this company, And in time?, If I decide to re-turn to OTR, they will be my first call, Thanks for taking the time to read my post, Take care out there, and I'll check in from time to time,
Sincerly ShawnPanhandle flash, JCT DRIVER, mustang970 and 3 others Thank this. -
