    Kinda makes ya wanna say,
    Hmmmmmmmmm, --- dosen't it?

Considerin' that Big truck truck drivers are well known for not agreein' with each other, --- when "all these truckers" do agree with each other on the same subject, .............. I'm thinkin' there just might be some validity to their opinion(s).

As for blaming Obama for the condition our condition is in, why stop there? George started it all, back in the day when he became the first President of the United States. I hear ol' George threw a silver dollar all the way across the river and politicians have been doin' the same thang the same way ever since. Throwin' money away.
Off hand, I'd say that's proof positive that even the ignorant Big truck truck drivers are feelin' frustrated. They're a tad off base, but still hit a home run.
Believe it or not, but big truck truck drivers ain't the only ones blamin' Obama for the southbound economy.
    HaiL!
Even some members of Obama's own administration are blamin' him.

Now-a-daze with most of the politicians passin' the buck it's hard to tell where the buck stops.

When tax cuts are proposed, we hear the politicians whinin' 'bout how Washington worries 'bout how they're gonna pay for those cuts.
    Funny.
I don't recall ever bein' asked how we're gonna pay for tax INcreases.
Seems to me that they're both exactly the same, ---
    only different.

    "Who is to blame"?
    Hmmmmmmm ------

Are you sittin' down at the moment?
If not, you should, --- just in case.

When all is said and done and the smoke has cleared, --- the truth emerges from the shadows and proves the ones to blame are ultimately none other than
    ourselves.
    Asleep at the wheel.

    YuP!:smt045
One of the problems is that when it comes to acceptin' any of the blame, they just refuse to accept the whole load and instead return to their regularly scheduled distraction(s) from reality.
    YeaH!
And each one tries to out-do the other in the amount passed along. I'm thinkin' that politicians have been role models that influence our actions in our daily lives. There are Big truck truckers who haul freight so cheaply that it doesn't pay the bills, --- who complain that the low freight rates are killin' 'em, ..... as they continue to contribute to the situation wishin' SOMEone would do somethin' to fix the problem.
Meanwhile, the wheels keep turnin' for less than it takes to keep 'em rollin, --- until freight rates go up enough to at least break even. To keep their head above water they float loans to remain buoyant and tap out their credit cards that they'll pay off as soon as the freight rates go up.
But instead of increased freight rates, the freight dries up to a trickle. Desperate for a positive income they agree to haul freight even cheaper, --- thereby takin' one step forward and two steps back, goin' nowhere fast.
They're able to place the blame
upon many others for many reasons, but they don't seem to blame the one most responsible. And, until they can, ...... and do, the problem will continue.

    Pogo said it best years ago;
    "We have met the enemy
    and it is us".
    Read that again folks.
    Make a note of it.

Y'all never know when life will throw y'all a pop-quiz.
Then, the question beggin' to be asked is,
    What's in your wallet?
Sorta resembles a game with neither side allowin' the other to score points, --- leavin' progress dead in the water, often before leavin' the dock.
It's like wakin' up from a bad dream and discoverin' that your bad dream continues into reality and y'all are in it
I wonder what ol' George Washington would say about our system of government today? Could this be what the Father of our Country envisioned? A bridge in New York collectin' tolls in his name?
What are the odds that the voters will wake up and realize that there are none so blind as those who would lead a horse to water and still not smell the bovine excrement comin' from the greener side of the fence?
(Or sumthin' like that. Memory, ..... second thang to go, --- don't'cha know.)
    :confused4:

Keep that soapbox handy amigo. :smt045
    Use it often.
    :salute:

There is a section on this board called TRUCKERS & POLITICS. Any comments or views regarding our wonderful leaders should be placed there and not on here. Simple really.

I'll commit that to memory in case I get an urge to express views and/or make comments regarding our wonderful leaders. However, no "wonderful leaders", except possibly George Washington, were even mentioned during the course of recent conversation in this thread, ergo, the material contained herein doesn't meet the standards to be posted on the board called "TRUCKERS & POLITICS".

By the way, a tad off subject but, ..... do you remember what Simon's first name is?
    That's what I thought.

    Dewey120 simply asked:

Directing Dewey to the POLITICS thread would have been simple, .... really, ..... but for anyone who admits that they aren't political, just curious, I'm thinkin' would simply be inadvisable to throw 'em into the lion's cage.

Besides, my experience has been that those who suggest relocation are usually the same ones who simply don't read the entire post. They just simply skim over the contents and think they're up to speed when they're actually laggin' behind and lookin' rather silly to those who've made the effort and taken the time to fully understand the material by simply readin' all that's been expressed in writing. Therefor, such suggestions tend to go in one ear, --- and out the other.
So simple, ..... really, that even a caveman could do it.

Been at CRE for 3 years now and it was not all bad. Got my truck paid off now and in a good dedicated fleet. The only problems I have now are either the shipper/receivers fault or mine.

If I had to do it all over again I would. Looking for a local job now, getting homesick too much.

I and glad to hear some good news about CRE, I have visited a lot of sites and read a lot of negative postings. I need a good company, I am a good driver and need to make money. CRE has offered me an opportunity to check them out. Any other good reports out there?

I hope you didn't go to CREnglands trucking school but if you did, I suggest as soon as you get your CDL, you go with another trucking company other than them. We have a horror story like so many others on here that I have read. I read one post that says "read the contract before you sign", but there is a problem with that theory. 1st off, with england by the time you get through their so called training, which includes 30 days of driving with a driver trainer at $61.45 per day (who can live on that?) all the student wants to do is get the paperwork done so they can actually start making money. 2nd off, most people do not understand all the legal jargone that is in those contracts so reading it is like looking at a foreign language. 3rd off, if you say you want to take it to a lawyer then they will tell you that you can if you want to but it will delay them from getting on the road and making money, which is exactly what the student doesn't want, another delay! Just to let others know I know what I am talking about because my husband just finished the school about a month ago. We are broke, about to be homeless for the second time since he started the school, and according to england indebt to them. My husband has yet to see a paycheck from hours driven. They even tell him he has to take their route, which is more miles, but he doesn't get paid for all those miles. They are crooks! I was told on the phone that the truck payment would be a monthly payment but then when I seen the contract, it says it is a weekly payment. I don't care what anyone says about england being a good company to work for. We put our whole lives on the line so my husband could train for a career as a trucker so we could have enough money to pay our bills and we ended up having to sell all our funiture, move to another state where the cost of living was lower, and we are still facing eviction there because england rips off the drivers! My husband takes every load they give him, whether it is a short run or long. He has spent more time waiting on loads to be loaded into the trailers, waiting for unloading, or waiting for a swap out they want him to do and he has taken it all without complaining to them but I am not as easy to get over on as he is. I have had enough! I have lost everything I owed and now I am going to take action! I will let everyone know what happens once I get back from my lawyer's office.

you still have to pay a lot xtra...I leased a truck from C R England ...Truck Payment 525 ...Insurance 220... diesel 1.25 per gallon ..other cost .21 cents per mile..if I drive 2600 a week it cost me 546+525+220+diesel 2600devide by 7*1.25+ permit you looking at
1,800 dollars a week. If you have a flat they charged you for 1 tire=955 dollars..so you looking at 300 dollars a week bring home...now I lease a truck from Roehl Transport my fixed cost 534 a week plus I only pay 50 cents per gallons if I run my truck 7 mpg...you do the math..am I d dummy or you? and when I had a flat road service charged me 350 per tire
