I know we have tanker drivers in VA, and that there is at least one tanker receiver in the east end of Richmond by the airport.

Appreciate the info, i was just curious about drivers from the midwest and westcoast states getting into tanker, when most runs are in the northeast. How often they get home, but it was not a big deal for me. I was in no way interested in tanker driving, i will be doing reefer if i can get on with prime.

They would most likely have a problem getting hometime from the other side of the country.... lol

According to a Lease Op Tanker driver I talked to... he said 99 percent of their work is East of the Missouri river. Make a triangle with the NE, Florida and Kansas city and that makes almost the bulk of their normal operating areas..
He said there was a great paying run that ran from Kansas City to Southern California, however he would have to sit for a day or two... sometimes more before they could find him a load back to their normal operating areas.cwc Thanks this. -
I have heard. Not sure if its true. That they will give Tankers reefer loads to get them back to a 'tanker area' or for hometime.

I think he is saying you would probably drop the tanker in springfield and do a refer turn to the home 20 and back to get your home time.
