Just a big come on to snatch government money . CDL mills don't support veterans . Veterans support them . Schools are well aware 90% of their students won't last a year in the industry . Veterans deserve a better choice of career .
What's next - a trailer with a cross and Jesus on it to attract Christian drivers or would that turn off too many Muslim prospects ?

 

I'm not talking placement . I'm talking job retention . Have you ever done a survey to see how man students still have jobs after a year ?What is the turnover of the carriers sending recruiters to your school ?
I have never disputed the quality of training at most schools . I have faulted schools for not advising potential students of how criminal records and violations on MMVR's can make hiring next to impossible .
As much income as schools make they still pass everyone rather than being honest and admitting some students obviously lack the skill and given a refund rather than a certificate .

 

If 75 percent stayed with it your placement rate would go way down because new drivers wouldn't be needed . Very few new jobs are being created . I have seen many , many posts in these forums saying half the drivers get rejected at orientation , more by trainers , and others saying a carrier has to hire 10 drivers to get 1 good one . Their posts are far more credible

Just hypothesising here... But I would think Vets would excel in trucking. Accustomed to long periods away from home, and the fortitude to stick it out through the rough patches.
