Now I'm scared because I wear glasses! :biggrin_25524: How was the eye exam administered? Did they use the HOTV CHART FOR 10 FEET? I think there are four lines on that thing. Did you have to be able to read all of the lines from 10 feet?

You say the physical is tough. What made it tough? Just trying to find out what I'm in for on December 14. Keep us posted Gold_Miner.

They do want you to list your prior employment for the last 10 years. All of it.

The physical eye exam is Eye Chart at 20' and you need 20/40 or better to pass. It is ok to have glasses.

Blood Pressure should be less than 139/89 or you will be sent home.

Sleep Apnea, you need to have your doctor give you a current AHI report. It has to be less than AHI <= 5....

Inverter, you can just use a 400w Plug in model from Walmart for about $45.

We lost 3 today for drug test. Started with 17 down to 7 of us left.

Be sure to bring your DD214, you will be glad you did.

We studied Air Brakes, Hooking up a truck, Moving 5th Wheel and Tandems and took test. lots of sitting and test. Also we keep a current log book in class for all activities since day 1.

Hope I answered everyone's questions. I am tired, but having a lot of fun...

I was under the impression that the 10 year work history was for those who had a CDL already and had worked as a trucker.

I think I'll do fine on the eye exam...20/40.

I need something from a doctor about a sleep Apnea before I go? I don't even have a doctor and no idea what sleep apnea is.

What's an inverter and do I need to buy it before heading to San Antonio?

My recruiter is supposed to email me some stuff this coming Wednesday. Hopefully it will answer some of my questions. Thanks for all of your help Gold_Miner.

10-year work history for all. 3-year driving history for CDL holders.

An inverter is a device that converts the truck's DC current to AC so you can plug in things like a computer and such. No, you will not need to take one with you.

If you don't know what sleep apnea is, then you probably don't have it. If you snore loudly, wake up tired, people tell you that you stop breathing when you sleep, then you may need to get checked. If you have never been diagnosed with sleep apnea, I would just come and take the physical. If you have a large neck, they may tell you to go home and get your doc to check you for sleep apnea.

    DenaliDad Thanks this.
