Just got a phone call well actually a phone message from Prime about possibly returning to work for them. I left Prime back in May to work a temporary programming job which pays very well.
When this job is over in a few months i will definitely reapply to Prime I really miss it.

I am enjoying reading all of you guys adventures.

Be safe and have a wonderful holiday season.

Yeah, I got that computer generated sales call, too. Was going to make a thread about it, but you beat me to it. "Press 1 to speak with a recruiter." Well, not when I'm right in the middle of my sleep cycle.

It's been almost exactly 18 months since I left Prime to return to Swift and I couldn't be happier with my decision.

However, if they were actually interested in having me return, maybe they should have had an actual person call me to discuss what went wrong the first time. My record with them was perfect. I had to leave because I couldn't afford to stay.

It kinda felt like all they want is butts in seats. They could give a rip about individual issues and reasons why each person left in the first place.

I'm the opposite, Started with swift, and now with prime. I hated swift. Sure they both have problems, every company does. But, I make way more with prime and actually run. My DM with swift had me sit more then drive. And Swift loads had to much time on them like 3 days to run a 700 mile load. There is only 2 things I miss from swift. 1. They pay for every expense, anything you buy for the truck or for a load. 2. Detention time was 2hrs instead of 4hr hour with prime.

I never had a problem being reimbursed for everything on the company side. Anything for the truck (say hose clamps) you need to get a PO from RA. Detention is dependent on the contract... some 2 hours, some 4 hours, some not at all. Be proactive and put your arrival and depart times on all of your bills.

Yeah, Happy Holidays to you. Last week I had an amazing offer from C.R. England to start school for $995. Today the same ad says $0 with a six a month commitment.

Perhaps, if I wait a few more weeks they'll pay me to start school. Obviously, CRE doesn't know my work history in trucking or lack of. :biggrin_2559:
