thats my point also, nothing against all the guys posting here but I have yet to see any hard numbers. The company doesnt post hard numbers or copies of settlements on the website, recruiters are verrrrrrry vague and only say it will be explained in orientation yet I am trying to make a business decision on minimal info, at face value all seems like a pretty good deal but I have yet to see hard numbers, this isnt personal, its a business decision, I have a job already, if this stands to be a better deal tho I wanna see something to prove it even if the settlments arent huge, whatever they are I just want to see it. anyways hope you guys all had a good xmas, happy new years comin up.:smt077

I'm not into posting our hard numbers, but I haven't hidden how many or how few miles we've had, and it doesn't take a genius to see how much JCW is earning per mile. You can ball park it from there.

The only one i know of that post his numbers is evertrucker in the crete thread, he was a company driver trainer. It would be nice to see the numbers for someone interested in an l/o position at prime and even the company driver numbers also without splashing their personal info like ET covered his personal info. I understand
the numbers will not be the same for everyone, but future prime drivers will get a general idea of what to expect.

How hard is it to multiply .38cpm times however many miles JCW got in a week? Really. That's gross pay, and you can figure out your own deductions from there.

I knew it was you. The old saying if you don't lie you won't have to remember what you said and who you said it to.... that's low... blame it on poor ole trucker mike!:biggrin_2559:

Thanks U2exit. That is why I have always liked you and your post. Your honest and tell it like it is. I don't feel like you are trying to sell me something on prime. No doubt you are doing well at prime. I am glad for you.
Yep, busted.... LOL in his best bill clinton voice... I did not have sexual relations with that woman... LOL

DT no one is looking for proof of miles from a company driver unless they are making outrageous claims.

This is strictly a L/O deal. A battle that has gone on for years... Same argument different characters.

Claims made, proof requested, proof denied...

Well, like I said. We ALL know that Prime pays the reefer rookies 33cpm (up to 80k miles) plus 5cpm ltwt bonus. I say when we get low ### miles. (ZERO MILES for the pay period ending Tues after Thanksgiving?) I also say when there is carry over. I don't have a scanner. This week, as of 1600 today, he has 3347 paid miles. He was dispatched on the first 1/2 of that on Monday December 19. That load delivered on Dec 23rd. (DH of 800 miles). He picked up the load he delivered this morning on Dec 23rd. Spent 34 hours at the house, 4.5 hours at SpringMO for brakes and tires, had the repower cancelled, and delivered it within 30 minutes of the ORIGINAL appointment time anyway at 0530 this morning. That all means that he will gross north of $1200 this week. This is roughly double what he earned as a mechanic. Last week was under 1/2 the miles at 1584 paid miles. He grossed around $600, and with bonuses and detention pay put a little more than that in the bank and on his comdata card. His "allowance", if you will, is $75/week. That covers his food, cash tolls, and his nicotine habit (he's moved to e-cigs). The rest, I pay our bills with. And feed the kids. And the cows, goats, sheep and cats. (I'm not lying when I say that most of the time the animal feed bill is double the people food bill). We "own" our home and land. We don't have a car payment.

For December he ended up with 9219 paid miles actually paid in December (or will be by Friday). He spent 2 days in the shop for APU and deer slayer install, plus another day waiting for his load out. He did spend Christmas at home, on a 34 reset. His gross pay for December (not including ANY fuel bonuses, Christmas bonus, detention pay, etc) will be: $3503.22. I am not going out on a limb by saying that should that be a 12 month average, he will surpass his mechanic's income by over $6k/year. Closer to $8k - $10k.

Since recovering Cubbie on Oct 21, he has a total of 20145 miles. Gross pay: $7655.10. That's 10 weeks (paid time) with Cubbie. He's had 4 days of home time, plus one extra at T-giving. After recovery, she spent 2 days in the shop at Pittston. She spent another 2 days at FL and SPRINGMO looking for an air leak. She spent 2 days in SPRINGMO for her APU/Deer slayer installation. Nine days out of "production" so to speak, so that 10 weeks is really only 8.5 weeks (ish, my eyes are starting to cross). He wasted a full 24 hours waiting on Hershey to get there shiznat together before his FM cancelled the load and told sales "to get my driver a REAL load". The load was assigned by a weekend FM. He is still learning the system. As am I.

Crunching the numbers more, I find that he has a weekly average of 2370 miles on "production" available time. Christmas is included in this as he was under a load at the time. Would we like a higher average? Absolutely. Can we live with what we have? Oh yes. When you are used to living on an average check (gross) of $550/week, believe me, the gross pay average of $765 (all 10 weeks) sure makes it easier to keep feeding the cows.

Doing well. Nominated by my FM for Company Driver of the Year 2011 (Ref.Div). Having a great month on miles. Ready for my week off at home next month before grabbing another Trainee.

I haven't heard any announcements... Selections may have already been made and I didn't win. Oh well, Ive got 2 driver of the month wins and a driver of the Year nomination in a span of 13 months. I'll take my name etched in some plaques in Springfield.

I've known about the nomination for a couple weeks... Prime people around here weren't happy with my assessment of another prize. I think this one is a little better than "I managed not to be a moron and did my job" PTC award. I Really wanted the $ prize on this one.
