I had a very minor incident about 10 years ago on private property while driving for my present employer...I backed into a chain link post and bent it...

My question is this, should I put this down as apreventable accident when I fill out my application for Wal Mart?

Besides this one incident, there is nothing else on my driving record.

Any insight from anyone who works for Wal Mart would be appreciated..

I know that when you fill out the application, they ask for all preventable accidents (LIFETIME)...

I guess my question is, and it may be a DUMB QUESTION, would something so MINOR be considered an accident, or CONSIDERED A minor incident..

There was no damage to the equipment I was driving, only a chain link fence post that I damaged. I contacted my company, and did lose my safety bonus over this, that year.

I want to be honest on the application, I know they value honesty in a big way, just not sure if it incident is relevant, or considerad preventable accident.

Was it reported on a DAC or with the BMV? Did you fill out an accident report as a result? Were you terminated or disciplined for it?

If you answered yes to any of these, disclose it. If not, then don't.

If its not in your dac or mvr records then it never happened, you seem worried about it which tells me there might be more to it then your saying, if thats true then use it,don't try to hide anything that has a paper trail, they will find it. Happy hauling
