Ok, I am sweating a bit here. I495, Capital beltway, to I95 north interchange. Heavy traffic, first time through there, the scale exit looks like a normal interchange ramp. I blow by. Never see a cop. Delivered my load in NJ.
Got on google there and looked at an overhead of the scale to see exactly where it was. Heck of a setup. I under stand now, but feeling panicy.
I guess my question is, is there any kind of a camera setup for taking pics of trucks passing scales? Am worried that the company will be getting a ticket from that incident. Anyone get any tickets like that? Or was the good Lord watching over me today?

You should be fine. I've heard of people doing this before and unless they pull you over down the road nothing has ever come of it.

I guess your alright, it was not Clayton NM. They really dislike when your south bound and blow by their scales. Trust me, I know first hand, along with the other two victims in front of me.

Those guys are so busy they can't find their ### with both hands and a flashlight.
So don't worry about it.
I've actually been IN the scale lineup, looked at the layout and said....see ya, without ever getting in that goofy round about they consider a line. Just drove right on out without crossing the scale.rodzilla Thanks this. -
dont worry about it most guys blow past that scale anyway, its a stupid setup. I've never pulled into that scale open or not, i've only seen a handfull of guys actully pull in.

ok, not sweating any more, thanks guys.

I've lived in the area. Passed by there a thousand times. I never knew that was a scale house, just a park & ride.

Ok, question:
Who hasn't passed that weigh station at least once when it was opened. I know I passed it up more then once -
I've missed one (that I know of), I was in Mississippi and nothing ever came of it, and I know they saw me blow by. I think they have their Weight stations set up so you do miss them.

There's a scale on the 495? First I've ever heard of it, and I spent the better part of two years pretty much trapped on the 95 corridor.
Guess I owe a whole boatload of money to the guberment. Think they'll use it to pay down the national debt?
Nah....
