Questions about felonies, background checks, and companies that will hire felons....

Well sometimes thing change a bit in ten years.

 

I would not think he would want to touch a flatbed company with his bad shoulder. I don't want to touch em with my two good ones.

I was conviicted of misdeameanor terroristic threats 22 years ago. Can that prevent mew from getting a TWIC card?

 

Look I have 3 felonies on my record. I am a better man because of them. I learned alot while locked up but it took many years to learn them. But its Aholes like you "the taxpayer" who F***yourself. How you ask? Well this is how it works. The government loves felons because for each inmate the gornment makes so much. So they make it harder for us to find jobs so we will turn back to crime so we go back and they make more money. I learned this while locked up and I don't want the government benefiting from me anymore. But if you and the others that have your same #ucked up out look on it until you "the people who can vote" tell the government come on lets give some of these felons chances then we wouldn't have to turn back to crime. So you are taking it deeper in the tailpipe than anyone. Would you stick c-4 to your car because it broke down 3 times no cause you have to work and you need it. So why would the government kill off what feeds them. Get smart and think about what you say not all felons are bad people. I agree some need to be killed but not all. So F### yourself by not giving the 2nd chance. One day the help you may need may come from a felon like me until you talk SH## like this. Then that might be a felon who takes your life. your choice Ahole. By the way I pay Taxes to.

In a background check, if a civil Protective Order (restraining order) shows up as dismissed, is that a red flag for haz mat trucking companies?

Situation is, there is a protective order that was filed and dismissed 16 hours later, the next day. It was never served, never made it to law enforcement, just dismissed by the Plaintiff. Never became temporary or permanent, just dismissed. But it will show up on a civil background check, I suppose. Is that going to stop a company from hiring you, and if you are haz mat certified?

As a recent cdl school graduate I am a little confused by the companies priorities. have 2 drug pos charges 2 Dui's The goverment gave me a Hazmat qualification and I have a passenger endorsement I also carry a valid Twic card I have been completely honest with every trucking company on my application No one but Trans Am is willing to hire me today But if The Federal goverment in this post 9/11 age is willing to give me twic cards am i really that evil??? The fact that 11 years ago I went to rehab and have been clean and sober ever since seems to mean little. OH WELL I GUESS I'll GO TO AN AA MEETING AND COMPLAIN

 

hello truckers, does anyone know of an company that will hire convicted felon,my felony was Habitual offender driving without an license.I didnt do any time but its six yrs old and I havent had anything on my driving record sinse I had gooton my drivers license back in 2008,if any one have any info could u send it to my page I need an letter saying they would hire me,and have knowledge of my felony. the schools arent just accepting pre hire letters now.

 

Slickrick, I have a feeling that you are probably throughly screwed as far as commercial driving goes. I'm surprised they would even let you into a school.
