Company With no compassion

Please ma'am. Settle down. Sorry for your loss, but don't expect to round up the troops in your behalf on a trucking forum.. Perhaps the sympathy you seek is better found elsewhere. No offense. RIP.

 

I don't think that was her intention, and in my opinion biscuit was a little cold.

 

Sometimes life is cold . The companies involved should not be faulted because there was no will written . To say there is "no estate" is incorrect . There is an estate but now it must be settled through probate .

As far as trucking companies having compassion it has been demonstrated too many times they will go to any extreme to avoid accountability . The day after a Crete driver killed seven children Crete hired the best attorneys available for the driver . When a Knight driver ran over a man and kept going and left the truck 1,000 miles away Knight hid the truck and at first tried to deny the man was killed by that truck .

 

Some of us know how to show compassion regardless. A fellow driver has passed and all some care about is the legalitiies. I don't care if it's total nonsense which it's not. I'll give her a hug. Speak for yourself, not me. No offense.

 

It seems the original post was all about legalities and getting money from pay , insurance , etc. . Some posts just responded to those issues .

 

Not to step on any tores, but there is no common law marriage in the state of Oregon, they do have I think its called domestec partnership but iirc, that has to bbe filed at the courthouse. When he started for the company, and he put his emergency contact information on the aplication, was it his dad? That may have been the info the company went off of, that would be what they gave to the highway patrol in case the company couldn't make the notification.
