Ive been driving 8 years. I work for TMC. I read all of these "complaints", this is the trucking business not a walk in the park, yes u do things you dont want, yes u bite the bullet. I make great money with TMC and Im home weekly. You cant let big name
trucking companies pull you in and bully you, stand your ground. Ive never ran illegal with TMC and i always get 5 loads a week, and Im home on friday and leave on monday morning. If you got great time management and common sense you can make it with TMC. Also to the people commenting on how there trucks were when they first got them with bald tires etc.. what you should have done was, as soon as you got your truck and your first load, pull in a weigh station and ask the DOT officer for an inspection, after the inspection is done he will write a summary on the inspection and send it to TMC, if TMC does not reply with the truck being maintained that day they will get fined, and its nothing on you. Theres ways around this business, bite the bullet use common sense, and make some money, also most of there dispatchers were fired and they have a new system. Every trucking company has there advantages and disadvantages. If your new to trucking get used to having tough skin, if you can't handle the business, go home. 90% of guys coming out of a truck driving school never make with there first company, I was raised on a farm and i didnt go to a truck driving school, some guys are made for flat bedding and some guys aren't, the ones making excuses need to go somewhere else. Good Luck. If you can't hang with the big dogs, GO HOME!

Your going to let one thing scare you off? No what you should of done is say "OK no problem" got your ####, when your truck was done, you put your #### back in the truck, so when its time for your next service, you take the #### out before it goes in the shop again, theres ways around it, and they own the truck, they can go thru it if they want to. everytime I go in for service, i get it service ready, so theres no bs to put up with. BTW if i owned an expensive truck and i let someone i didnt know drive, id go through there #### to.

You may get that one ######### mechanic who thinks hes Mr TMC who tells you what you can read and what you can have in your truck, tell them to ### OFF, yes there stupid in some of there policys its just how you deal with it, and they told me i couldnt have certain magazines in my truck when i went in for a service, so being a smart ##### i went and bought 5 hardcore porn magz and put them on the shelf, they never said a word haha

That bs about how you run 5 loads week and home by fri nite and back out Monday is such garbage.
They want you to pick up & del 5 loads a Wk with tarp & untarp majority of the time and stop to have truck & trl washed as well. -
I could really careless if you believe me or not. I just live in a great location within 40 miles of 5 dedicated accounts we have in places, and no they dont go through your bags, if they do its a lawsuit any smart person knows that. Ive been ith them a long time and they have never went through my bags, id break my foot off in there ### if they did, and yes im home on fridays and I leave out around 3 am monday morning, it all depends on your dispatcher. Im lucky because most of my loads are dedicated runs out of home depot distribution centers, but hey if its complete garbage, give it shot with TMC captain and find out

I worked for TMC from may 20th, 1994 thru Feb 6th, 2011. Yes, almost 17 years. Unless a lot has changed in 11 months, the story about them trying to audit what you read is complete baloney. I had many different books, magazines etc in my truck. Never had an issue. If anything was said, it wasnt what he was reading, it was that he left the junk cluttered around in his truck. They likely said "put your reading material away right, or get rid of it. TMC is not perfect, if they where, I would still be there. They have cleanliness and appearance standards. I never had the slightest reason to think they cared what I had in my truck, as long as it was neat, clean, and orderly.
