I want to thank the Prime Drivers for the good info about the company. Ive looked at other companies and Prime is the my best choice for me. Ive talked to Grace and the process has started. I went to a driving school and had to settle for a cdl b. I had a problem with backing and when I asked for help from the instructors I was told that they cant help me cause their not in my head so they cant see what I doing! Which is BS! Grace told dont worry about that since it will be 1 on 1 training! I have a good feeling about Prime!

well after running into some prime lease ops on the road i finally got the real skinny on leasing reefer and taking trainees with me, heading to prime feb 13th, gonna jump in for the beginning of produce season and try to turn and burn, had a few lease ops tell me theyre making 2 to 3k a week net when they have a trainee in the truck, and alot of happy drivers I talked with, been at prime for 3 up to 12 years and goin strong, just wanted to pass the good word along to any veteran drivers looking for some good info.

Yea, I had to have a new fifth wheel put on my truck. They are having problems with them on the new light weights. They are not locking onto the king pins properly and sometimes not locking at all. In my case it wouldn't release from the trailer and had to be torched off.
I'm close enough to Pittston so I came home while the truck was fixed.

Yes they do. I got my pet on the truck now. Pay the pet fee and you can have one up to I believe 30 pounds, but dont quote me on that.

I have a few questions about Prime. I have had the chance to talk to numerous drivers out there and all of them have had good things to say about Prime.

First off let me start by saying I am still a relatively new driver. 9 months OTR experience with 0 reefer though I do know quite a bit about it. According to Prime's website I do meet the minimum qualifications to eligibility. During the last year I do have a ticket (failure to pay a toll on I44 OK) a DOT recordable non injury accident (dumb woman in a 4 wheeler talking on the phone drifted into my right steer. She denied it, her word against mine, no witnesses, I lost - listed as preventable me at fault LEO issued no citations and passed lvl 2 inspection) and a minor accident at customer ( brushed a low retaining wall with my bumper - don't feel like explaining again so read here) http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...-advice/168149-how-do-i-fix-series-goofs.html

Anyways what do you guys think? I plan on calling a recruiter tomorrow and just putting everything on the table and say 'this is the deal my record isn't spotless but I'm putting everything out there up front. Can you work with me on this?' Something of that nature. What do you guys think? Can I get in or do I have a snowball's chance in hell?
