Best company to start with as a student that has prepass and a good dot rating.

Call me paranoid, but sometimes I think the mods on this site plant guys like this, just so they can have fun banning me. It is a GREAT temptation, but I shall resist.

 

No wonder us truckers are seen as idiots.

 

Just to jump in with my own example. I'm a new driver for May, and we have Prepass. In my trainer's truck we very rarely if ever were pulled in, green lights all the time. Me, now that I'm in my own truck? Pulled in every time, without fail. I agree that it's nice to be able to fly by the scale houses, but even if I start to get green lights regularly, I'll still be certain I'm legal and my truck's in good shape. Prepass will never be a substitute for that.

 

. I think you need to learn the difference between want and won't . . Then your posts might almost make sense .

 

Call your company and have them check your transponder's info if you never get a green light at an open scale. It could be deactivated or have paperwork needing updated. Happens all the time.

 

Praise, I think you're dead on looking for a great CSA/SAFER whatever the hell they call it these days score. That should be the main priority. As stated before, you can pay for your own prepass, directly from prepass and it's cheap. After CSA, I'd be looking for an APU, and well the rest is up to you.

 

Rick g has a point. You continually state that 2 of your criteria for working for a company are that they have Prepass and that they have a good CSA rating. Then, you go on to state that you want work for someone that does not have either of those. It seems that everyone who understands the English language (including me!) is seeing those 2 statements as being contradictory because first you are saying that you will not (won't) work for a company that does not have Prepass and/or a good CSA score and then you say that you "want work" for a company that has neither (that is read as you "will work" for a company that has neither). Sorry, but you REALLY need to learn the difference between the words "want" and "won't".
