Call it what you want, but you're making money at the same time.
Good point. That's why we aren't buying it.
If you can do that, great.
We did for a while, but for just starting out, leasing brought us more money.
Now, two years later, we could be making the same as company drivers but I'm fine with finishing this lease. We'll decide what the better option is when we're done.

You would be correct...one cannot be forced to stay and wait for a company position. However the kid (22) that this happened to sold all and had nothing but his "promise for a job". As for meeting someone that was happy with England, well all I can say is good for him. I am happy that the company did someone good. Also, as for doing research prior to working for them, I did none. I tend to be an optimist and did not want to believe a company could be that bad. My Bad. I don't want to believe that someone could screw someone just to earn a buck. Was I wrong. I am now appropriately pessimistic.

If things were'nt going exactly as you planned and if CRE was in fact "putting the screws to you", why didn't you get out of it? -
Thanks for the info , I was considering them.

She is right about the expericence for training but that is for second seat, they indicated that you only need to finish school and month OTR you train someone as second seat. Which is bogus because they are suppose to know everything about the business. They make it sound like it is simple job. I had bad experience with my phase 1 trainer but I stuck it out. I have to much invested in this and I like driving so no one is keeping me from doing it. I will be going out with my 2nd phase trainer but I am going to insist they have to be my age with a lot of experience. The only reason why I am doing that is because I was reading the Experience Trucker advice and from trucker I met at truck stops. That when you get 3 months of OTR training you can go most places. She did make mistake on the pay though being a second seat you only get 16 cpm but when you least a truck 90 cpm for solo and over a dollar for team. Company driver gets about 26 cpm.
