How much of this is just being resistant to change? I do understand some of your concerns regarding space in the sleeper. But the rest? It just sounds like you're used ot what you're used to.

Whats the harm in giving them a shot? What will you have lost?

No chance of leasing a truck on with them? That way you could buy your looks truck and keep the job.

I hear ya. I would take a 'bit' less money for a decent truck. To me, you can't beat a 379.
You have to do what's right for you. What does the new company offer for trucks?

Rat, you said you work till thursday, have you thought about turning a wrench on your days off. You can do both. But I have a good feeling about your search. I think you will do very well, with what ever you chose. Good Luck.

Like TAZZ noted , buy your own truck , that way you drive what you want and then get to work where you want.

The HOODS are going to be gone soon so companies watching their $ are not buying them.

You do realize that a 386 and a 389 have the exact same cab and sleeper, just a different hood and axle placement.

There may be a decline in the number of "hoods" being used in OTR but it's not like the manufacturers are going to discontinue them.

Well we all know the difference between a truck driver and a puppy!
The puppy stops whining after six months. International makes great trucks. It is all what you make of it. Try it for awhile and if you don't like it move on.

Forget about looking cool going down the road. The first few I saw when I started looked cool. Now they are just another truck...LOL
