I've returned to Oklahoma after working overseas for the last seven years. During that time my drivers license expired. I've got my new license with the same number I had before. My question is this, There is a requirment on these school applications to have a valid drivers license for the last year. Can I still qaulify?

No I didnt get a foriegn license. I drove for a couple of years in the U.K. on my Oklahoma license but didnt really need a car while I was there. I dont see any problems with the DMV about getting my CDL.

Yes it should. In your case that is not a bad thing though. I know in Kansas the law is such that once you return to the state from your active military service, your license must be renewed without examination. You're allowed up to 6 months following your discharge, OR within 90 days of establishing residency, whichever is sooner.

    K.S.A. 8-247 (2)(b).
