    they are very comfortable! You are correct, you have a sharp eye! air ride cab, four point air suspension so the cab isn't directly connected to the chassis, the airbags on front are place high and wide ( right under the windshield ) so the centre of gravity is low and stops the 'floaty' feel of other euro trucks , on the highway there is so much insulation you can barely hear the engine and double glazed windows keep out wind noise , the blower fan is the loudest thing in the cab! they feel more like a BMW 5 series to drive than a truck, so easy to drive that I reckon most half decent car drivers could sit in and drive one first time! My last scania had air ride front axle and you could leave a cup of coffee on the dash and hit a speed bump at full speed and it wouldn't spill, we used call that the coffee cup test (not very original I know) just purely to demonstrate it was smoother than a car on the road

    here scania mostly distract its potential customer by its rear suspension it is in most cases only 2 bag, most of them dont chose it because of uncomfortable bumps from rear axle on 2axle tractors this is pretty bad thing

    long rigid trucks are very comfortable


    4 air bags cost 600€ and there is not too much trucks with 4bags

    those who buy it, mainly chose it because it is lighter than 2 bags

    this is revised 2bag air suspension it is 120kg lighter than old one

    i think latest generation is lighter 50kg than this one

    this is 4bag solution which in combination with f700 chassis and direct mounted 5th wheel is 270kg lighter than average solution

    I actually prefer the 2 bag setup, they handle better on a 4*2 tractor on twisty roads like ours, besides the 2 bag system has improved on the r series and I used fit KONI gas shocks that improved them further , anyway the cab suspension is so good compared to the 4 series and the biggest problem with those were people speccing them with 3 leaf front suspension with a 6 cyl engine , that used kill the ride .

    The 620 I'm driving now is on steel suspension all around cos it's a heavy hauler, that should be a rough ride and it's still very comfortable no bumps, rattles, shakes or vibrations, we have a 4 series 530 and it's the same basic chassis but it's no where near as comfortable , the cab airbags on an r series are Alot bigger and mounted higher up !if you are getting a 'bump' from the back axle your rear cab suspension could be set too high, a bump at the back axle could cause the back of the cab to be slamming down, use the adjustment bar and lower it until it's 5mm approx from the stop blocks, let the front cab suspension iron out the bumps,

    I'd like the 4 bag system on a 3 axle tractor, they feel like an air suspended coach to drive, with airbags on the front axle too they are so smooth you would have to almost look out the window to tell if you are moving at all.

    I didn't realise they changed the chassis completely, I thought the new ones were mostly cosmetic changes, I think what superliner was referring to was a comparison in comfort copared to a normal us truck, ive driven a frieghtliner and got a ride in a peterbilt which had cab suspension on the rear of the cab both feel very solid compared with any euro trucks , 2 rear airbags on the back axle doesn't bother me, having 4 point cab suspension is the most important thing when it comes to on road comfort,

    instead it doesnt have reaction arms and antiroll bar,less things to maintaine

    did you see new 4bag suspension with self trackable axle i first time heard for it 3months ago

    in 2 bag configuration ,the Scania rear suspension doesnt have X or V shape reaction arms nor antirollbar its all combined in axle housing ,shock absorber and leaf spring assembly,thats why it so heavy comparing to 4 bag suspension

    That's true, there's virtually no maintenance on the 2 bag system
