How slow has it been? Are you still getting 80+ hours a week? There is years of oil production left down there! And after they think that they cannot get anymore they will come up with another way to extract untill they get every last drop! Kinda like what they are doing in Bakersfield! I am past ready to trade in my ACU's for some coveralls!!

Are you guys paying for your own rooms at the Snore-a-Inn, or is Nabors picking it up. I drove thru there one time, with a load of asphalt oil, but I blinked and missed it.

Paul great thread and info Thank You for taking the time. One question i have for you is housing. Are Man camps an option in Texas? Im also coming from cali (so cal LA co.) Really dont want to drive in North Dakota as a rookie in snow and that wind but I need a job and would rather not OTR if i can help it. I'd much rather live in Texas You still think a rookie fresh out of cdl A class all Endorsements clean dmv rec (1 point no accidents in last 10 years) clean record and work history? Im 31 NO kids so looking to work as much as possible.

the rain has been slowing things down more, i still get at least 70 hours.

    yes, pay for your own

theres no man camps around here, dont know about the rest of texas, yes your record is fine, come on down.

i think 60-70 is normal, when its slow its mainly because of the weather, so certain locations are not accesible without getting stuck in the mud, so i been getting sent alot to pick up brine water, its about a 4 hour round trip and mostly on hwy roads. theres always something to do here.

    z20jimmie Thanks this.

man, i got a lot of beefs with nabors right now, good company but its not workin for me lately and its been too much of a trend now, i'm gettin really close to not stickin around for things to get better when i hear of other places that can fill my needs.

i want a truck, jobs to do and hours to put it, i dont think its too much to ask for.....oh yeah, a truck phone that works and more money considering there are stone cold mopes here that make the same as me.
