I-80 is open! No chains required! A lovely day for a drive in the mountains! Clear skies on the west side! Git yer trainer out of the bunk! Too bad if he's hung over! Tell him to git movin'! :biggrin_2559:

Yes it does fit your original post!

You put the definition right there...check out the part I highlighted in red!
Exactly what your first post indicated..."strong displeasure at something considered unjust"...you don't want to sit in Reno and wait out the storm and chain law, your trainer is following company policy as you stated, you think it isn't right to sit and wait but to move on.

    INDIGNANT IS ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!:biggrin_2558:

and students like you....portraying the attitude that you know better than your trainer...are the ones who get off the trainers truck, almost knowing less than they did when they got on.

20+ years working in different profession(s)? Jack of all but master of none?

There are times that dictate slow driving...many students slow when there is no real need to be as slow as they are going. but honking the horn at a student is never necessary.

I did....and it does....and this post along with many of your posts in this thread do declare "indignant"!

Suck it up buttercup, open your ears and pay attention....you might learn more that way!

If i were a trainer, your ### would be sitting at a greyhound terminal. You should call your company, and let then know that you've taken over the truck, and are now training the trainer. Good luck champ.

I would argue the definition of " a strong displeasure" as I am not strongly displeased...more like mildly annoyed, and perhaps a bit curious.

I would argue that the term "indignant" is too strong and inappropriate in this context.

I think the word " inquisitive" would be far more accurate than " indignant"...though I do see your point. I would agree that some of my responses since my first post would be rather indignant though.

    but I digress......

With less than a year's experience....I surely hope that you aren't training ANYONE!!

One needs more experience to train someone how to sell shoes, much less drive a 80,000 lbs truck at highways speeds in foul weather! :biggrin_2551:

My trainer has 20+ yrs in the trucking business. He's a great trainer, I was just bringing up the topic for sake of conversation.

Don't get your panties in a bunch.

btw...we went over the mountains today.
The road was clear....and I drove the whole way.
I kept her in 9th gear with the Jake on and barely had to touch the brakes.
....unlike the Stevens Transport truck I was following for awhile...his brakes where smoking so bad I was worried they would catch on fire.

And yet, you begin this post by stating your 'experience'.

And you began this thread by stating your impatience.

Doesn't sound like either of those makes you a safe driver, just a ####y one.

Does it surprise anyone that it was a Stevens truck? :biggrin_2554:
