This post reminds me of stories that start out with "you ain't gonna believe this ####...but".LOL
lets see..2700x .25 cpm..675 bucks before taxes..probably abut 580 net..take out the 45 for traing..thats 535 bucks..which means that wee you owed for 500 bucks in advances plus comcard fees for advances which any company will pass on to the driver..you are the one requesting the advance after all..for stuff you probably didn't need or you blew it in a casino in NM..
As for me..still waiting on driver solutions to finish up whatever they are doing in processing my app...sigh...
Still tentatively sched on 3/26

I am so tired of people saying drivers "will never make $40,000 in the first year." Well, I'm here to tell you I made over $42 K with PAM my first year. I drove dedicated teams for 14.5 and 16.5 cpm for the most part. But, we also got very good fuel boneses because we never idled the truck.
I have spoken to drivers that haven't done as well. They talk about getting stuck for days in Laredo. I never had this problem. The only time I spent more than 24 hours there I did shuttle runs from the railroad yard. Kept me busy and making money. So, maybe the winds blew right for me and wrong for someone else, but I've done alright.airforcetoo Thanks this. -
Hahaha, my first year with PAM I made 36.5K as a solo driver! I did all my runs and MADE sure I did early drops, pick ups and when the drops couldnt be dropped early. I made a layover pay plus the miles!
Just did my taxes for the second year with PAM, it was 43,265! That was even when I left for a month and went to another company who promissed the world. Also that is plus 2 students that year.
Sad to hear drivers piss and moan they are not making money. When they are just screwing around and taking their time to do there JOBS!
Oh, the other thing if PAM pays for your schooling: 45.00 + escrow: 25.00 = 70.00 off the top. And you dont know how to manage your money then the trucking life style isnt for you. Either with PAM or anyother company.
Yes, rigs do break down and things do happen. Its murrphy's law and its life.airforcetoo Thanks this. -

As long as you have a dependable truck with them you will run and make money.

We're here to work ... not here on a vacation ... I don't know what you're idea was .... -
To funny, I know Neal. He was my DM for 8m for my 1st yr and 5m for 2nd yr. Ran me like I wanted and he knew he could count me with loads. Now Im a trainer I still pull loads for him in his experdite dept. Since the drivers repower from, a) ran out of hrs, b) taking their time, c) team ran out of hrs, and many other dumb reasons. Also I can him and he will hook me up with runs.

I worked for Pam for 4 years. Made 40k every year. But, on pace to make 60k first year here without working as many hours or driving as many miles. Glad I moved on.
