You can go home whenever you choose. Most of us tend to stay out for 3-4 weeks at a time. Some stay out longer and some go home sooner, however the money is not that great if you want to go home very often. I live in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area and still stay out for at least a month in order to make a decent wage. Hope that this helps.

Yesterday St Patrick's Day was my one year anniversary at ACT. My totals for one year are as follows. I have been paid on 122,856 miles and taken home $83,259.22 which does not include the .07 per mike that goes into my maintenance fund. That is an average of .677 per mile and $1601.13 per week. BK, congratulations on your totals...I'm not trying to take any wind from your sails but to be fair to people viewing this thread those numbers aren't solely based on just driving.

There are a lot of recruiting bonuses ($300 per person) and an additional .04 per mile for 90 days per recruit.

I'm not taking anything away from you...Your hard work is paying off...But creating unrealistic expectations for new hires is going to sour drivers on a good company..ACT

I know that and that is why I had not posted numbers in several months. I have been here a year and I don't get any special treatment or drive any better of a truck than a new guy would get so there is not any reason they can't do the same thing. My numbers at the earlier part of this thread is what should be expected just hiring on. I have always averaged about 23-2400 a week for miles and I drive slow to get good fuel mileage. Without any recruits if you do that and drive the truck the correct way you should average $12-1300 a week with the same miles. Yes I make more due to recruiting but one of the guys I recruited was killing my numbers after 2 months here because he recruited a lot more people than me and got better fuel mileage. No reason anybody else cannot do the same.
