Heres a good one....cali is 55 for trucks... They did a speed survey on I-15 from Vegas to Barstow... The avg speed for commercial trucks was 62 mph...the average speed for 4 wheelers was 86 mph....with a few topping 90 plus... Talked with a CHP officer and even he agrees that split speed limits are not safe and that its safer to let the trucks at least run 62 before they start writing trucks...the 4 wheelers pass on the right and left shoulders at times....

If you cant drive down a road and not notice a huge ### truck infront of you your doing something wrong.

So thats our problem? I think not. I drive around at 65, I just dont see what the point is to go faster than that, its just too much wear on the truck.

Ummm I think you missed the point here. We were talking about drivers doing far below posted speed limits. I'm with you, 65 is good.

58 is only 7 mph below 65... and the MINIMUM speed posted on interstate highways is in the 45 to 55 mph range. You can't deal with that?

Best advice besides avoid arguments is in the words of that famous TRUCKSTOP DRIVER that always seems to not to be wearing underwear is " DRIVER YOU DRIVE YOUR TRUCK AND I WILL DRIVE MINE ":biggrin_2555:

I could say the same exact thing about drivers doing 70 or 80. Interesting.
