For me communication has gotten better in my 2 years here. We will each have different experiences. For me the good outweighs the bad. I like to be left alone. Give me the correct pick up numbers, appt times phone numbers to companies, and you won't hear a word from me. I normally get responses from my qual com in a timely manner and normally don't have to call more then once to get somebody on the phone. But this has only been my experience in the last 6months or so. Different dispatchers different results. I think the people in the office have a lot of things going on that we don't see as a driver. So I give them the utmost respect of trying to deal with all the drivers on their boards issues.

We can be very impatient at times, and only think of ourselves. Not knowing that our dispatcher has the same information that we have, and have to call other people to get things going, and have 10 other drivers on hold. With similar issues.

I call it the honey moon phase. If you look at most threads. The company is the best, and greatest company in the world for the first 3 to 6months, and then the honey moon is over, and now the worst company. Really surprised at those of us who have been driving along time. Would have such high expectations of any company. New or Old. At the end of the day we all have to work together to make a company run.

As Army guy says. There's a whole lot worse and I'm sure there are a few more that are better. Its all about what you can handle and not handle.

Glad to see Select's wife hanging in there. It takes a strong woman to be a wife of a driver. Even my wife who divorced me after 12 years. She hung in as long as she could, and I'm not sure how she stayed that long. Currently remarried and it's tough for her right now. Not sure if I'll let this one get away like I left the first one. Trucking is no longer what it use to be. So I'll divorce trucking b4 I get a second divorce. I truly hope they get his sleep apnea thing taken care of so he can get back on the road and make some money. You guys will be in my prayers.

I'll say before Doc quit. Him and fox fire would go extra mile to help a driver out. I think Fox Fire is still here. Just probably don't post much since saying anything some what positive will get you lynched by the ex or current disgruntled drivers. You do have a few people here that will try to help you out, but some things can't be fixed. So wish you well where ever you go. Keep it safe and have a good weekend.

I wasn't gonna say anything until foxfire posted about it, they have a new position called "driver relations mgr"

foxfire interviewed for it and would have been PERFECT at it, but instead they gave it to a DISPATCHER who just happens to be the WORST at relating to the drivers!

Just goes to show JBS has no clue what they are doing!

Sorry to hear that you are not doing well. Hope things change for the better. If not I was checking out Poly Trucking. From what I seen on here they pay .48 hub mile. down side is a bunch of it is perdiem but nothing putting a little money on side for uncle sam at end of year won't solve. Also no layover or detention, but the guys seem to be doing pretty good. Also seems it takes a while to get on with them. So if you haven't heard or checked them out you might want to give them a call early just incase things don't get better. The link is the part about health insurance. Doesn't seem to bad.

Thought my sunflower load would be cancelled and mess up my pp out of Greeley going to San Antonio, but added 2 stops and a few more miles. So all is well @ Jack&Jill Logistics . You guys keep it safe.

Picked up a load of carpet from US Xpress going to Eagan, MN............pull away from the dock, try to close the doors..........they had so much stuff loaded on the trailer I couldn't even CLOSE the doors!....................:biggrin_25521:

You might expect that at some random shipper but you would think employees of a TRUCKING company would know you cant stuff so much crap on a trailer that it ends up hanging off the back of it!............:biggrin_25522:
