I don't get the feeling that JunkCarrier is a run of the mill Mexican Big truck driver trying to take food off our tables by taking money out of our wallets.
    Hail!
The man reads, writes, and understands at least two languages we know of. And he's an American Citizen. All he seems to want is information about taking loads back to where he's from, and return here where he now resides. And he'd probably be able to accomplish that task better than us gringos. More power to him!
    I say THANK YOU, sir.

For being willing to take those loads going to Mexico that Americans say they don't want. And for being what I consider to be the kind of immigrant that can be of benefit to this country, too.

Not to mention a potential Golden Opportunity.
I would think it could be a bit of a treat to be able to take loads into and out of Mexico, --- visit family and friends, --- and be PAID while doing it.
Mexico, Canada, ..... goes both ways. And could make Big truck truckin' more enjoyable as well as profitable for all Big truck drivers.
    What's not to like? :biggrin_2558:

After reading your concerns for your family, you impress me as a stand up guy, JC.
You mentioned "education" in one of your posts.
    That impressed me, sir.
    Favorably.

I hope you'll continue sharing your thoughts and views here. I'm interested in reading them.

The end result is a further decline of the rates, and loss of American trucking jobs to cheap labor period! You guys would rather sidestep the issue and hang it on the safety of their trucks! I don't understand why you guys would support this, as if we have not seen a enough decline in the standard of drivers living due to deregulation! :biggrin_25513:

    ShockWave?!
    Are we related?

Seriously though Shock, you need to do some more reading here in other forums on this subject. I think you'll have a better understanding of what my actual thoughts are on the subjects you mention.

The question posed by JunkCarrier pertained to crossing the border as an AMERICAN citizen Big truck driver with a load going into Mexico, and returning to the United States. I don't recall ANY mention of the freight rates he expects to receive. But if he's living in the U.S.of A., I doubt he'd be too anxious to take a pay cut, especially if he's running his own Big truck.
    HAIL!
    He's an AMERICAN businessman.
And an AMERICAN can now LEGALLY take loads deeper into Mexico.
I don't see the comparison or the threat of lowering our wages by taking loads from an American Big truck driver.
How CAN an American take an American's job and be called illegal?

This thread is about hauling into mexico not about Mexican trucks hauling frieght in the USA. There is another thread about Mexican trucks coming into the US where you can express your opinions. just letting u know that I dont support Mexican trucks hauling freight into the US but it is not an illegal immigration issue or a cheap labor issue.:biggrin_25512::biggrin_25512:

How can you discuss on without the other. Expecting to deliver there while not wanting them here is a double standard! I hope no American truck delivers in Mexico and I'm diligently trying to stop them from coming here!

In WHAT country is it "unlawful" to maintain dual citizenship?
It certainly isn't in the UK, my sister holds dual citizenship with the US and the UK, same with my brother-in-law, two nephews and one niece.
It certainly isn't against the law in Canada, I know many American citizens that are also citizens of Canada....
So, what in Countries is "Dual Citizenship" illegal again?

    Try the CORRECT thread, Shockwave.
The question posted in THIS thread pertained to taking loads down there, and have NOTHING to do with Mexican Nationals STEALING loads from the 'poor american trucker'. Nor does it have anything to do with illegal immigration; which are two separate problems.
Just look at it this way: Junkcarrier is here doing the job that an american WON'T do....

sorry, I couldn't help it, especially after your post.....

    RK,

I made the same comment you just did, and NOT because I'm putting JunkCarrier down either. In this case, I think it holds true, from what I've been reading. I welcome and THANK any Big truck driver who wants to cross our southern border with Mexico.

I hope things work out for JCarrier. I think that situation could be nice for him.
I just hope he keeps us posted. JCarrier sounds like a Big truck driver I'd be proud to know.

    Bueno Suerte, JunkCarrier!
