Haven't totally changed to Stevens. I am considering them. I know Stevens gets a lot of freight through Columbus. So does Millis with the Miller Brewery in Trenton. I have heard that if there is not a lot of freight going through home you may not get home as much. Stevens also hauls hazmat which I hear pays more. Just checking all avenues.

Yea...I get thru all the big towns on this route....Lone Pine, Bishop, Hawthorne, Fallup, Burns Junction...just to name a few!
Sometimes can go for 30 miles and not see another vehicle.
Of course, that doesn't count SoCal.... -
Anyone know what Stevens Hauls that is considered Hazmat? They do solely refrigerated correct?
-
Hazmat consists of plastics, cleaning supplies, ingrediants for soda and energy drinks. Soaps, dyes, paint. -
Is it true that if you haul refer that you can get more loads than dry?
-
With a dry van you can only haul dry freight. -
Thanks Corporal Clegg! Just talked to another Stevens driver who had same advice. To me a load is a load. I have U.S. passport and hazmat so I should do quite well.
-
left coast...Calif, Ore, Wash...or where the normal people work and live
-
Funny they consider the ingredients to make Coke/Pepsi as hazardous and you need a Hazmat License to haul, yet you can piuckup coke/pepsi in bottles ans cans and haul anywhere without a hazmat...lol
