Don't know about that. My brother brings home in excess of 120K per year. He will make more than 1.70/mile on a lot of loads but it depends on where he is and what the competition is like in that area. He's always got a back-haul.

He is a shrewd business man indeed. He maintains his truck and trailer and does much of his own maintenance.
