Do the math. Run that truck hard and you will make more than the bonus is. Your overspeed alone will disqualify you for the bonus but you still make out better. Then you can idle all you want, fuel where you want, and drive where you want.

    639 miles yesterday.

Start orientation next month, can you be a little more specific? Overspeed I'm guessing is when going downhill? How slow are Schneider trucks, 62? Also, how do you fuel wherever you want? I know most company's I've driven for in the past wouldn't even allow the card to work someplace that wasn't a scheduled stop. Last, when you say run where you want, are you talking about not following the pre-planned route?

overspeed is usually at 63-64, depends on what the trucks cruise is set at , I believe. Then there is excessive speed 70+ this you need to watch out for downhill/grade. As long as the cruise is on you can get upto 70 downhill. just dont gas it. used to be before WF there was a warning tone. helped to keep it under.

Comdatas will work at the majors. idependents you'd need to call in for .they have set parameters for out of route miles. usually 10%. GPS will take you through as many small towns as it can if the route chosen is direct enough. I prefer interstate as I feel a little more distanc esaves some time.

Overspeed all u want but if you consider a dedicated acount, you may get turned down because of your Overspeed.

So what are the trucks set at? From some of the comments I take it cruise and pedal are a few miles per hour different.

Overspeed for solo is over 60 on pedal. As far as what you can set cruise at, it depends on the truck. Mine right now can squeeze out 62 if I'm lucky. My last two trucks stuck at 60, my first one ran 59. Whatever speed you get, you'll pretty much be the slowest vehicle on the road unless you run into Prime or Stevens.

This is for van division though, I know that intermodal might be 62 on the pedal, certain dedicated accounts might have different settings, but I don't know for sure.

This is great news. I'm so happy for this school mate!

By the bye...love your Pascal (17th century French Mathematician) quote in your signature. Here's another:

Belief is a wise wager. Granted that faith cannot be proved, what harm will come to you if you gamble on its truth and it proves false? If you gain, you gain all; if you lose, you lose nothing. Wager, then, without hesitation, that He exists.
