Im a male I had a female trainer.. it was a good fit.. my only issue i had with her... she was single and got caught up with "guy" issues.. she was one of those company chicks lol.. was annoying but she was respectful to me... it also helped that I drove well, my only time I needed her was for backing up.. (her spotting me) driving wise I did soundly, she was able to sleep while I pulled my own weight, driving, filling up for gas, getting off freeway and so forth..
im sure if she had to stay up the entire time I was driving I think she would have turned on me lol. because looking at it from the trainers point of view, it would be exhausting training someone who's just not getting it, and being nervious everytime they lay down to rest, not knowing if there safe or not. Then when its there turn to drive lol there tired already! lol I give props to trainers.. you got to have it in you to do it.. alot of patience![]()

If you are not in a hurry, I bet Swift has some female trainers out there.
pjay Thanks this. -
Oh, and a TA card isn't going to get you anything at a Pilot or Flying J...pjay Thanks this. -
I'm a female truck driver myself and when I first started I had a male trainer. He was professional and did his job. I have no complaints about him.

A female friend of mine told me about her slob male trainer who tried that on her and as she was ignorant about the card, she didn't shower... You are right about the TA card. One can get the Flying J and Pilot card at one of their fuel stations or at their website.

I think training from the sleeper is getting pretty common with some companies. My "trainer" loved the money but didn't like the work. I'm kicking myself for not requesting someone else. I did a lot of driving but not much else. Now that I'm on my own, I am paying for it.
You don't realize how much you missed until you are on your own trying to figure it all out.Truck609 and NDBADLANDS Thank this. -
I trained female and male students for 5yrs with CRE . I was very professional and found that my female students were jot only better drivers but quick study as well. I told my female students they would be treated just like my male students as this would be what they should expect from other drivers out on the road. And I passed every one of my female students. There were several male students I wouldn't pass, but had no prob with the female ones.
pjay, slomocopshow and Dagger Thank this.
