Cheers I see what you mean daf105. Ome of the first things I'll be doing if I buy it is a compressor overhaul like you say. Better safe than sorry eh!

really this compressor is easy to rebuild. It is availavle in USA and EU. There are aftermarket parts for this truck of good quality.
Is it 4x2 ore 6x4 truck? 12V ore 24V electric system? What injectors type?
Please start with VCADs pro diagnostics, but there is one hiddent trap. This truck does not support J1587 so you cant use Nexiq and other RP1210 adapters, Genue volvo adapter only to check electronics. But to read codes is easy - there is check button you press to pull flash codes -
Hey Pablo, it is 6x4 and 24volt system. I'm yet to find out exactly what injectors it uses. I'll get Volvo Impact 3.0 up and running tomorrow, then I can search the entire vehicle using the VIN.
The only adaptors I have for VCADS Pro are aftermarket, will these not work at all? -
PTT, VCADs and old toolbox work with volvo FH12 well, but with genue adapter, not RP1210

IMO, old FH12 was a good cabover, simple like AK47, but reliable.... and now there are more suffisticated, more powerfull trucks, but old volvos keep running

ouh, good news, Volvo FH cab is made of steel and it is really safe and tought. This first FH cab is the basis of all Volvo FH, FM, VN and VH cabins, and check out accident reports, Volvo cab was good in early 90-s. Freighliner and International cabovers made before 2005 cant pass EU crash test, and first freightliner that met European cab safety ruls was Century class!

But i think the FH will suit RyanNZ just fine.
ps i drove F89,F12 and FH.
The best cab in that line up is the F by miles. -
really FH cab was the revoilutionally if trucer's safety. -
