Peterbilt quoted me $3,000 for a new Lipe clutch and input shaft installed, out the door. After reading some other posts in this thread, i may shop around a bit.

Got mine done at an independant shop. $3,000 or more otd is about the going rate around where I'm at from the likes of Rush, MHC, or CAT.

    SHC Thanks this.

My last one was $2400. But then, I always have the flywheel pulled and resurfaced whenever I have a clutch done. Just like doing a good brake job. If you want the shoes to last a long time, you have to do the drums. A resurfaced flywheel is what it takes to get the most out of a new clutch plate.

    SHC and Mommas_money_maker Thank this.

Yeah, I know the $3,000 was high, but it was also a LIPE clutch, new input shaft and flywheel resurfaced.... plus the fact it will have a nationwide warranty thru Peterbilt/LIPE

06' Columbia 10 Speed was $2200 at the Freightliner dealer so $1500 seems like you got a pretty good deal - oh and that was after the tow bill into the place - a cool $450.

$500 for Mid-America clutch. A few more bucks for odds and ends like flywheel resurface, input shaft, pilot bearing. Did it myself. Painted the trans when it was out. Looks good and I know it was done right!

If you can't turn a wrench, you ain't no super trucker.

My last one was $1650, included new (not rebuilt) Easy Pedal, resurfaced flywheel, pilot bearing, rear main seal, ride to and from the Motel 6 in Eloy.

You roll over a lot, that people are admiring the underside of your truck? You might consider a new profession, if you do.

Who the heck wants to be a "Super Trucker"? I certainly don't, even though I can turn a wrench. I will admit, though, back in 1979 when I ran for Superior Trucking, we would cut the signs down to where they just said Super Truck and stick them on our trucks.
