Really depends where u live and how you want to run? Regional , OTR, Teams??? Don't know much about star but I think they have more regional routes. Conway had regional but you have to live in the lane to really get back to the house regularly ...answer those and I'm sure some of the regular posters on here will chime on in!

Local or City is preferred but if Regional is next option. I live in Atlanta most of the local companies I applied for haven't called me back. The few that didn't have any local at this time. I would like to get home as much as possible and make money. I stayed out OTR for another company and was only making $200 and less per week. That is the reason I do not want to stay out but at the same time bills have to be paid.

Yeah it sucked. I was sitting for three and four days and then when I got a load it was only 500 miles that was repowered around 300 miles. Only got like 1000 to 1500 a week. Stay on the road 4 weeks at a time. Never late for P/U or DEL.

That bites. I'm averaging 750-1100 a week after taxes.

Star is not bad on the local side. They used to be a pretty good little OTR company, but that was pre-Covenant.

I knew some local Star guys....they were pretty content. Not making big bucks, but pretty happy nonetheless.

    OTR....I'd go Conway, no question.
