I always thought my dream job was working as a Direct Deposit teller at a Sperm Bank.... but since those jobs are hard to come by, I'll just be a trucker. :p

Road testing new trucks? I don't mean to sound offensive but wouldn't they want someone with more than 0-1 year of experience for that? Paccar ain't cheap stuff. With that said I hope you get it and get to live your dream.

####. Mine requires 5 years at the same company before they'll even consider your application.

Ya, that's definitely one of those gigs you only get if you know someone!

Even better is that you will always have that on your resume! Way to go man! This is why I try to encourage newbies to think outside the box! There are so many other great opportunities out there besides the normal mega-carriers. Don't follow the herd, think outside the box, do your homework and you will be rewarded!

Your location gave it away, (Portland area). Now, you gonna "roadtest" the equipment with latest versions of engines etc to see how they hold up ? I use to see them testing Freightliners between Bullhead City, Az. and Golden Valley. They would pull the eastbound grade (10 Mi, 6%) over and over pulling a pup trailer with weights printed on the side.

Was going to say that from the get go but didn't want to give the guy away. Wife and I used to fly back and forth picking up all the new W9's from Portland when we were with Central. Was a sweet gig! My wife hated flying though.
