Ok how do you find out what rate to pump, what weight do you use, etc. rig in and washing trucks is such a small part of the job. If your scared to do a little work then keep your little in field job

lol - a little defensive are we? You slag fluid haulers and give another guy trouble for being negative towards trican.

So you like your job because you find it challenging? I would honestly like to understand what it is that appeals in that type of work. I can see how it would appeal to some people to be part of a team rather than working on your own.

Hook up, wait till trailer full, drive to next location, repeat. This describes for the most part all trucking jobs in one form or another. A question u can add to your why? thread is why would anyone post that trucking is not exciting in a trucking forum?? May be u should be on an equipment operator forum?

He is defensive. And I poke at trican because they are a corporate bottom dweller, they find newer guys and work them to death so they can underbid anyone else.
Most other companies will pay better and have better routes towards o/o where you can work for yourself. Bobbyt defends and promotes them because he has only been here 9 months and it is all he knows.
Thus he Slags at fluid hauling and nitrogen like earning better money for less work and hours are some kind of shameful act. I half expect him to take at shot at pioneer and prairie boy for offering 28 plus to haul lowboys and pipe.

Dont think they are on here. You need just your basic ppe, hard hat, glasses, coveralls, gloves, boots. Contact your base manager and he let you know for sure.

Only been here 9 months and that's the only thing I know. Ahh ok. How did you come up with that? I've done fluid transfers before and I find it to boring for me. Yea I got paid well but there was no challenge and no room for advancement with the company I was with. I didn't start knocking the fluid haulers until way after itsneversafe kept ragging on Trican about Beeing a bottom dweller. So they are not the company for him. Why sit here and ##### about it? I'm not going to sit here and ##### about a company or job I know nothing about. I wanted something that keeps me in shape, I have to think about the formulas to pump, and there is room for advancement along with a salary I can live with. I didn't find that in fluid hauling so I left. What you don't like in a job some one else might think is the greatest job on earth, so be it.

You may already know this Pete but just to make sure, the coveralls need to be fire resistant.

Have you got your kit bag with all your ppe in it yet, peted. Not sure where your from but if driving bring the whole kit bag with you. Won't use all of it but at least you'll have it. If you don't have it yet then you have to contact your manager to get it before green hand school. If you need phone numbers let me know I have them here.

Awesome thanks, no I don't have my kit bag yet, I spoke to my manager and he said all that sort of thing will be taken care of when I get out there.
