Well, my application went off Saturday and they have already contacted me on Tuesday and are researching all of my info. As soon as I get the A.O.K. then it is off to get my Hazmat again.

    Good luck!!!!

I remember the waiting and faxing and waiting and faxing. Took about 2 months until they were able to verify all my employment. I was surprised at how hard they worked to get me verified.

If every body you drove for was a larger company and still in business it might not. If thats what you are looking for you might want to hurry on the haz endorsement.
Some of my former employers were very small companies and/or out of business. Also some time as self employed.

She told me she only had to verify the past 3 years, which is 3 employers all larger companies. I only need to provide a receipt for fingerprinting to get into orientation, so once I receive the stamp of approval from the Recruiting Dept, I will get that done.

I take it then you are a Landstar BCO?

Same for me. But I got my CDL the old fashioned way and did not do the driving school/trainer nightmare.

I got my permit and then rode with two of my independent O/O friends and then used one of their trucks to take the test. I then had to drive for some smaller companies that were NOT the best around to get my feet wet. Nobody else would hire a fresh CDL without driving school.

7 years ago, I got mine through Schneider in North Carolina. The training was a good experience...nothing more.

The only bad thing that happened is there were 3 of us in the truck, trainer and two students. With 2 students you are required to stay out 3 weeks. Well, ####### quit 12 hours before we got back to the yard at the end of 3 weeks.:biggrin_25510:

Okay, all employment references are complete, just waiting for an email from Washington State DMV. Then it is off for the pee test and truck inspection.

Hey Gazoo, sorry if you covered this already, what happened at EPES? Last I heard you were leased to them.
