What do you carry in the trailer?
I saw alot of these type and motor homes pulling race, drag cars in Arizona. When they are doing this, they are considered commercial and subject to DOT. I know of 2 that got caught in Illinois with your type of trailer with the cars. They were not aware that the law considered them commercial with their so called hobby.

You get the best of both worlds. A big truck with a motorhome body attached. It's kind of like taking a tour bus, chopping off the front end, and putting a Freightliner Columbia or big Peterbuilt on the front. It's classed as a motorhome. One of the guys who builds them lives down thr road from me. He always has his parked in front of his house. He's built them for LeAnne Rhymes, and a bunch of country music groups.http://www.kingsleycoach.com

Great, now I have to add a souped up Kingsley Coach to the list of things I'd like to have in my lifetime. :biggrin_25525:

This is the route I would take. I'd be using a W900L. though.

You beat me to it i was going to explain that same thing i pull my Toy Hauler a 3712TS Raptor that is about as heavy a trailer as you can get with my 1997 Freightliner it was a tandem drive and had the front drive removed for the savings in tires breaks and what knot plus i didn't need it. Registered as a private coach in Ok so there for no CDL required no hassles at all and the wife can drive it and we use it when we get to where we are going if the weather is bad and we can't ride the scoots we use it as our daily driver. Of course we are full time working RV'ers now so its home away from home.

:biggrin_2551:OMG Can you imagine what his rig would look like. Back to the issue, instead of buying a rig and RVn in it, go ahead and buy one of those big RVs that have a Pete, KW or whatever you prefer on the front? I have seen a few of those and they are sweeeeeet!:biggrin_25525:If I had the $$$$ that's how I'd do it. Neighbor down the road has one and pulls a 26 ft. inclosed trl. with it. Looks super but is just as long as my whole rig.:biggrin_2552:

There's times when I get home after being on the road and want to throw up on the hood of my truck and set the thing on fire as I walk to my car.

You are looking to drive one for a vacation!!???

You certainly have a more sick and twisted form of "diesel in blood" than I have!
